Flex-5G

The Flex-5G brought significant advancements in Open RAN compliance, fostering provider diversification and enhancing the scalability, availability, and affordability of 5G services in the UK. This project enabled private network scenarios, leveraging 5G’s high capacity, low latency, and reliability to drive innovations across sectors like healthcare, education, and entertainment. The initiative also incorporated a unique Software-Defined Radio (SDR) approach, further boosting the flexibility and efficiency of the network.

AWTG played a leading role in the project, contributing to the integration of radio spectrum flexibility, software updates, and the introduction of a modular network-in-a-box solution, which benefits both public and private sector users.
